Rationale

Sixty percent (60%) of the remaining new economy companies are contracting which are primarily e-commerce outfits. Over forty percent (40%) are folding up while twenty percent (20%) are striving.  Since the beginning of 2002, there are about 370 dot-coms that closed their doors. The stronger five percent (5%) is recorded to be profiting. Why? And how? What is the differentiating factor that makes a company profit in this new economy?

The rationale is simple. Cost versus sales and sales versus profit. The retention rate of customers and the continuous development of value proposition to them also play a vital role.  As the adage goes, 80% of the value of a company is created by 20% of its customer base.
